History of Our Woks
Zhangqiu iron woks refers to the traditional hand-hammered Wok in Zhangqiu District, China.
Its hand made process requires twelve forge, multiple times of fire, high temperature tempering at about 1,000 degrees, and withstanding 30,000 times until the pot is finished.In February 2018, with the third season of CCTV's "China on the Tongue" aired, Zhang Qiu's iron wok attracted attention.
Since the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Zhangqiu iron wok has been used as a tribute because of its light weight, flat surface and non-stick characteristics.
To achieve this effect, relying on Zhangqiu Blacksmith to make a wok requires more than 30,000 hammers.
This Ancient craftsmanship was passed down to the Republic of China.
Zhangqiu iron wok is under the insistence of generations of blacksmiths, is glowing charming light.
We have dozens of experienced blacksmiths in Zhangqiu. At least half of them have been making iron woks for more than 40 years. An experienced blacksmith can only create two master-style mirror woks every day.
